Scotland. A spirit of its own.
Have you #ScotSpirit? Do you want to be part of a progressive team promoting a world famous brand?
Our marketing department here at VisitScotland, Scotland’s National Tourism Organisation, is moving in a dynamic and bold direction and we want spirited, passionate and creative people with a background in marketing and digital to join us on this journey.
On 10 February 2016 we launched our first ever global brand, the Spirit of Scotland, marking a new era for Scottish tourism.
After extensive consumer research, we discovered that no one single thing differentiates Scotland as a destination, but it is rather an accumulation of experiences which makes us stand apart from our competitors. These experiences are bound by one common thread – our inimitable spirit, which stirs the soul of all who experience it.
Working with the entire Scottish tourism industry we will take Scotland’s spirit to the world, through our new forward-thinking digital approach, to create an army of advocates across the globe with a shared passion and enthusiasm for what Scotland has to offer.
We will showcase our unique and emotive attributes by making Scotland discoverable across the internet, working with partners to ensure that our content is as rich and as personalised as can be. Together with the launch of the new visitscotland.com we have developed new functionalities, including our upcoming community forum, to deliver consumers a more personalised, interactive and authentic experience, to help move them from a point of consideration to conversion. Our goal is to create and curate real stories from real people.
The success of the Spirit of Scotland lies in what it represents. Not just a marketing campaign, the Spirit of Scotland is a movement – one that will galvanise a nation and amplify our presence and significance on a global scale, and one which we want you to play a part in.
